American Airlines offers University travelers discounts on most fares domestically and internationally. 

American also offers special 'refundable' flat fare rates to the following destinations:

  • Boston to New York (LGA)
  • Boston to Washington (DCA)
  • Boston to Philadelphia (PHL)
  • Boston to Los Angeles (LAX)
  • Boston to San Francisco (SFO)

When to book flat fares?  If there is a good chance that you may cancel your trip or make changes to it.

Changing & Cancelling flights: (for reservations booked through the Egencia booking tool). Flat fare tickets cannot be changed or cancelled through the Egencia booking tool.  If you need to make a change or cancellation, please contact Egencia Customer Service at 800-401-2932.

American Preferred Select Seating

University travelers who book their travel through the University Travel Program's preferred agencies will have access to the American Airlines corporate preferred seating website. This website will give University travelers access to preferred seating at no additional cost.

  • Available when the reservation includes a valid PNR# and an AAdvantage Frequent Flyer membership number.
  • Available on flights operated and marketed by American once the reservation is ticketed and can make changes up until flight departure time.
