On Wednesday, September 10, five volunteers from the President’s Office helped the Westborough Garden Club clean up one of their largest gardens, Gateway Garden near the railroad bridge. In addition, we added 16 plants to the garden, including some native bushes that are drought-tolerant and will thrive better in the garden.

“It was truly inspiring to meet the members of the Westborough Garden Club and witness the selfless work they are doing to make this town a more beautiful place, one small garden at a time,” stated Akshit Mehta.

Kristina England also reflected on the experience, saying, “I’m so glad we returned to the Gateway Garden this year. It was great to see the work the garden club has done in the last year. A special thank you to Sara MacKenzie for discovering the Garden Club last year and to Karen Bolle Kinnard at the Garden Club for helping organize this year’s event.”

The Westborough Garden Club maintains over 15 gardens across Westborough, including gardens at the Civil War Fountain across from Town Hall, Minuteman Park memorials, Blue Star Memorial, and the Rotary horse fountain.
