Delivering Quality Customer Support, Training, and Communication
To further improve our service across the UMass System, the President's Office established the Access Team: Administration & Finance (A&F) Support Services. The Access Team builds upon the UPST Service & Quality (S&Q) group, with support for UMPO A&F departments, providing consistent, high-quality services that meet the evolving needs of our community. Starting July 1, the Access Team will offer customer support, training, communication, and analytics for a range of Administration & Finance functions.

How We Serve You

The Access Team is your go-to partner for dependable, high-quality support.
- Timely, consistent, and customer-focused service for Admin & Finance.
- Guidance and training on purchasing transactions (requisitions, Bank Card, contracts, bids, and supplier onboarding) and travel and expense processes.
- Support in bills and invoice processing, and payments status visibility.
- Data and reports on procurement and supplier transactions.
- Assistance to understand who can assist you with UMPO HR, Tax, Treasury Office, and other Admin & Finance needs.
What We Do and Who We Are

The Access Team serves as the first line of support for campus stakeholders and partners who require Unified Procurement Services Team (UPST), Travel & Expense (T&E), UMPO Human Resources (HR), and Treasury services. In addition to supporting the overall UMPO A&F departments in meeting their day-to-day objectives.
The new Access Team is here to provide centralized, strategic support for the UMPO Administration & Finance (A&F) departments. We have a great team here to help, led by Amanda Onwuka.
Communications
Communication services involve delivering clear and prompt messaging through various channels such as newsletters, campus meetings, and website updates, while also promoting campus engagement through activities like town halls, supplier roadshows, and information sessions.

Customer Service
Our services include triaging support through calls, chatbots, emails, and case management to address customer needs and escalate issues to A&F specialists as needed.

What is the UMass President's Office Admin & Finance?
The Access Team: A&F Support Services falls under the UMass President’s Office (UMPO) Administration & Finance (A&F) department. The UMPO A&F function supports the long-term financial sustainability and operational effectiveness of UMass. UMPO A&F partners across the university to collaborate on key services such as budgeting, accounting, human resources, payroll, procurement, travel and expense, treasury, and enterprise risk management. These efforts help enable the university’s mission of educational excellence, accessibility, and affordability.
