The DEIA Communications team keeps a calendar of upcoming diversity awareness months and days recognized either nationally or internationally due to their cultural, historical, or religious significance.

- Saturday, April 13 – Tuesday, April 16: Pi Mai (Lao New Year)

Volunteers Needed for Upcoming Events
We are seeking volunteers for two upcoming events:
- Mental Health Awareness Month Event (planning beginning now – event happening in May).
- Older Americans Month Event (planning beginning now – event happening in May).

Reminder: Employees can share Diversity and Inclusion articles and events on the #Inclusion Slack Channel
Employees who are interested in sharing article and events related to Diversity and Inclusion can use the UMass President’s Office #Inclusion Slack Channel to share information with colleagues. The UMass President’s Office DEIA Team will also share our monthly newsletters article there for employees to reference upcoming religious and cultural holidays. If you notice a religious or cultural holiday is missing, please contact the DEIA Communications team (deia.communications@umassp.edu).
