This hub is designed to be the central resource for all things AI, providing comprehensive frameworks and strategies to enable successful deployment and adoption of these technologies. It's a reflection of our commitment to fostering a culture of excellence and innovation, where everyone has the opportunity to explore and leverage the power of AI.
Within the AI Hub, we have the following working groups and goals:
- Education and Upskilling: Identifies need for change management efforts, education and upskilling of existing staff, or awareness of industry trends. Socializes impact and value generated through AI with other departments, campuses, and external entities.
- Data & Model Management: Provides teams guidance on how to use model evaluation frameworks / assessments. Understands existing data architecture landscape across UMPO and access management procedures.
- Risk & Security: Provides teams guidance on how to use security, risk, and ethical evaluation frameworks and assessments. Manages and triages security risks and tool vulnerabilities in accordance with UMPO policies / procedures.
- Industry & Ecosystem Partners: Provides guidance and best practices to teams looking to implement tools by sharing opportunities through ecosystem partners and latest industry trends.
- Innovation & Project Management: Manages use case inventory, prioritization of use cases, and value creation. Works across departments (and campuses as needed) to capture and track in-flight deployments, risks, and change management requirements.
- Application Development: Works with individual project teams to set forth a development plan in accordance with development team capacity and capabilities.
