President Meehan joined employees and their families along with Amherst Chancellor Javier Reyes and Lowell Chancellor Julie Chen in an exciting evening of collegiate hockey. This event took place at the Tsongas Arena in Lowell on March 1st, where the UMass Lowell Riverhawks faced off against the UMass Amherst Minutemen.


Before the thrilling match, President Meehan graciously hosted a reception, providing a wonderful opportunity for everyone to mingle, enjoy refreshments, and share in the community spirit. The reception set the tone for a night filled with camaraderie and excitement.


As the game began, the atmosphere in the arena was electric, with fans from both sides cheering passionately for their teams. The UMass Amherst Minutemen ultimately triumphed over the UMass Lowell Riverhawks with a final score of 5-3. Despite the loss, the Riverhawks played with determination and skill, making it a competitive and engaging match.
