On August 21st, Human Resources hosted an Intern Appreciation Luncheon, bringing together interns, mentors, and staff for discussion and networking. The event kicked off with welcoming remarks from Jacquie Kittler, Director of Employee & Labor Relations, and Maria Apse, Associate CIO, followed by a roundtable discussion moderated by Brian Girard, Director of Procurement Operations.
During the discussion, interns shared their experiences at UMPO, reflecting on their motivations for joining, lessons learned, and future goals.
The event concluded with closing remarks from Andrew Russell, Sr Assistant VP of Operations & Associate Treasurer, who thanked the interns for their valuable contributions, followed by a networking session, further strengthening the connections made during the event.
The luncheon was a celebration of the interns’ achievements and a reminder of their vital role in our organization.
