The UMass President's Office sponsored a 3-day, six-session Supervisory Leadership Development Program (SLDP) conducted by the Collins Institute at UMass Boston.
This interactive learning opportunity brought together supervisors and managers to develop and refine the knowledge, skills, and abilities needed for effective supervision while also sharing their own knowledge and experience.
The SLDP was organized around the themes of: Managing Self, Managing Others, Managing the Work, and Managing Systems. Through this framework, topics were covered such as communication, feedback, performance management, respectful workplace, delegating, and prioritizing.
