The UITS Automation team at UMass drives Service Delivery Excellence and fosters a Growth Mindset. Our goal is to transform Automation into a service, ultimately enhancing operational capabilities through cutting-edge Automation and AI (Artificial Intelligence) technologies.
The Unified Procurement Services Team (UPST) has been able to automate the process of onboarding of 13,000+ suppliers. This shift has simplified what used to be a labor-intensive process for all parties involved.
The Administration & Finance and IT departments have collectively automated over 7,000 transactions! Integrating automated robots across various platforms like BuyWays, Finance, HR PeopleSoft, and more, enables seamless access to critical information. By automating the loading and extraction of data and routine processes, the team has been able to improve operational efficiency and free employees from time-consuming, manual work – allowing them to focus on more impactful work and improving the employee experience.
We are harnessing the power of automation to make existing processes more streamlined and efficient – and have already saved over 800 hours of manual, human work with 12 automated processes.
The Automation team is not only optimizing current operations but also charting the path towards a future where AI plays a pivotal role in enhancing UITS' services and capabilities, all while eliminating the drudgery of repetitive, time-consuming manual tasks that have long burdened employees.
