The UMass Systemwide Enterprise Risk Management Program received the Public Risk Management Association’s (PRIMA) 2024 Outstanding Achievement Award in Enterprise Risk Management. In its letter to the ERM Program, PRIMA stated that our Program “demonstrated excellence and relevance, keys to a successful organization’s risk management program and one that surely can benefit the public sector risk management profession.” The ERM Team accepted the award on June 7, 2024 in front of hundreds of peers at PRIMA’s annual conference on behalf of the University.

The UMass Systemwide ERM Program provides a framework for University leadership to manage existing and emerging risks, enable risk-informed decision-making and enhance transparency across the University. Recently, Moody’s credit rating agency cited the Systemwide ERM Program as one of the accountability measures that enabled them to maintain the University’s strong financial rating.
