On Wednesday, January 10, 2024, from 10:00am to 12:00pm, the UMass President’s Office will host an event to recognize those UMPO employees who have received the Commonwealth’s Performance Recognition Citation. The Commonwealth Annual Performance Recognition Program has been in place for the past thirty-nine years. This recognition is particularly meaningful because recipients have been nominated by their peers for their outstanding contributions to the Commonwealth. The recipients who will be recognized at the upcoming ceremony were selected from nominations that were submitted by UMPO employees in the Summer of 2023. In addition, the UMPO will recognize staff who are celebrating milestone years of service to the University.
An in-person ceremony in Westborough will be available to those employees who are receiving a citation along with their manager, the nominator of the citation, and employees who are celebrating a years of service milestone.
All other employees will be able to view the ceremony remotely or with their colleagues in viewing rooms in Westborough.
An appreciation lunch will immediately follow the event for all employees.
