Session Description
This session will explore the significant impact of federal funding through data analysis and strategic planning. Ben Sweeney will start by discussing the FY24 data and its implications for employees. Deirdre Delaney and Monica Jackson will then explain their collaborative efforts in triangulating data from campuses and Treasury tracking. Finally, Deirdre and Joe Skrzek will focus on using these data insights to guide planning for FY26.
Speaker Bio
Deirdre Delaney
Deirdre Delaney serves as the Director, Financial Data & Analysis for the UMass President’s Office. She has worked for the University since January of 2019. Her prior positions include:

- Manager, Financial Data & Analysis for the UMass President’s Office
- Financial Analyst II for the UMass President’s Office
- Financial Analyst for Perkins School for the Blind
Deirdre holds a bachelor’s degree in business management from Bentley University and a master’s degree in business analytics from the University of Massachusetts Lowell.
Monica Jackson

Monica Jackson serves as the Director of Cash Management for the UMass President’s Office. She has worked for the University since December of 2006. Her prior positions include:
• Reconciliation Analyst for the Treasurer’s Office
• Senior Control Accounting Specialist for PFPC, Inc
Monica holds a bachelor’s degree in business from Saint Anselm College.
