  • U.S. Army Birthday
    The U.S. Army was formed on June 14, 1775 by Congress. Congress resolves to form six companies of expert riflemen in Pennsylvania, two in Maryland, and one in Virginia.   • Coast Guard Birthday
    The Coast Guard was established on August 4, 1790, when Congress gave Alexander Hamilton approval to construct ten vessels.
