U.S. Army Birthday

The U.S. Army was formed on June 14, 1775 by Congress. Congress resolves to form six companies of expert riflemen in Pennsylvania, two in Maryland, and one in Virginia. They were then asked to meet a company of men in Boston and the next day, George Washington was put in command of the new Army.
