Save the Date: International Women's Day

March is both Women's History Month and Gender Equality Month. It is a time to come together and celebrate the accomplishments of women. It is also a time to reflect on the progress we've made and the strides that we continue to make towards equality at home, in the workplace, and in our communities.

March 8 provides us with a day for everyone to come together and celebrate women's achievements - International Women's Day.

Block Your Calendar: A Celebration of International Women's Day

International Women's Day Events to celebrate women are being planned. University of Massachusetts President's Office (UMPO) DEIA Team invites you to save the date now. Download the calendar invite to block your calendars on Tuesday, March 8, 9:30 a.m. - 3:00 p.m. for the to-be-announced events.

IWD 2022 Campaign Theme: #BreakTheBias

Individually, we're all responsible for our own thoughts and actions - all day, every day.

  • We can break the bias in our communities.
  • We can break the bias in our workplaces.
  • We can break the bias in our schools, colleges, and universities.

Together, we can all break the bias - on International Women's Day (IWD) and beyond.
