Salesforce Across the UMass System 

This will include a panel discussion across the campuses with the various ways that UMass is leveraging Salesforce today, along with what is future facing for the campuses.

UMass Dreamforce To You 

The UMass Salesforce team will share key announcements from October's Dreamforce conference as relevant to the current Salesforce initiatives and priorities across the UMass System, inclusive of roadmap updates related to Service Cloud, Sales Cloud, Education Cloud, Marketing Cloud, and more.

AI, Einstein, Agentforce and UMass

The UMass President's Office will share their current Agentforce project, Buddy, and discuss their Agent strategy and plans for the future. Salesforce will share updates on our roadmap for AI and Agentforce, as well as the recent peer cohorts that Salesforce Strategic Services is doing with multiple schools. We will discuss multiple peer use cases and where other institutions are looking to get started with Agents and why.

Case Management 

As the most popular use case of Salesforce across the System, this will include a variety of different use cases on how to maximize UMass's use of case management and lessons learned from the various departments who have been leveraging this to date. We will also discuss best practices in enhancing the maturity of UMass's case management deployments.

Additional sessions

Afternoon and breakout sessions are still being refined, so we would love your feedback to ensure that the content that is most of interest to you will be included in the day. For any topics that we may not have time to address in person, we plan to collect a list of relevant topics to do separate meetings and/or webinars that will allow UMass to continue to network collectively on our shared focuses as a system.

Here are some of the breakout topics being considered in the agenda. Due to timing we may not be able to provide all of these sessions. Please provide your preferred topic priorities in the registration form. 

  • Agentforce and AI Deeper Dive (AI Use Case Ideation/Whiteboarding) - During this session we will give you a framework for ideating your institutions first Agent use cases and will discuss best practices when deciding on what your first Agent use case may be to create the most value and ROI.
  • Streamlining Service Efficiencies: Discussion with Salesforce Services - While they will discuss the AI Cohorts that they are currently doing with peers in the AI, Einstein, and UMass session, this will allow you more time to engage with Salesforce's Services team on other peer use cases and discuss opportunities to be more efficient across the system for shared services and insights that can be scaled across UMass teams, especially when concerning Agent projects.
  • Deeper Dive on Education Cloud (Including additional Peer Use Case examples across the Lifecycle) - This session will focus more on our roadmap for Education Cloud in more detail and can go into more specifics in particular parts of the lifecycle, based on attendee feedback.
  • Analytics and Reporting - This will include best practices on Analytics and Reporting with Salesforce and how to enhance your analytics and reporting needs to go beyond static reporting and be able to look at predictive and Semantic Search opportunities to best leverage your data.
  • Marketing Cloud Across the System - What is new with Marketing Cloud per Dreamforce as well as a summary of who is using the Marketing Cloud suite across the System.
  • Building Online Communities, Portals, and Web Experiences - Discussion of the various ways that UMass is using and has plans for developing portals and enhancing their web experiences, which when linked directly to their Salesforce instances can create more personalized experiences.
  • The Employee Experience - Discussion of where across the system UMass is doing internal employee efficiency and/or employee focused departments (eg: HR). Discussion of active use cases, and what the roadmap looks like with the Employee Experience with Salesforce.
  • Corporate Relations and Business Development - This session will be focused around where UMass and other peers are leveraging Salesforce for proactive outreach and business development. Use cases such as corporate relations, career services, business development, and tech transfer to be covered, along with updates from the Sales Cloud Keynote and what may be most of interest to UMass for these types of use cases in the future.
