Depending on your agreement with UMass, you may be required to submit a Certificate of Insurance (COI) to maintain compliance. This article explains the requirements and submission process. As an annual reminder, this applies to suppliers with insurance requirements in their UMass contracts.

Review Your Contract and COI Requirements

Before submitting, confirm your Certificate of Insurance meets these standards:

  • Coverage includes the specific types of insurance outlined in your agreement.
  • Policy limits meet or exceed the minimum requirements in your contract.
  • The certificate lists the University of Massachusetts as an additional insured, where applicable.

Submit Your Certificate of Insurance

Email your Certificate of Insurance to COIs@umassp.edu with the following:

  1. Your Certificate of Insurance as an attachment.
  2. Your company name and contract number in the subject line (example: "COI Submission - ABC Company - Contract #12345") .
