Trash & Recycle Pickup Schedule

Janitorial service is provided Monday - Friday evenings after normal business hours.  Trash and recyclables are removed; furniture is dusted; and, floors are vacuumed or mopped.  Please place copy paper, envelopes, colored paper, plastics, glass and other recyclables in the blue recycling bins in your space.

If you need extra bins or need to have a bin emptied, please enter a work order through Building Engines.

Large items or cardboard boxes can be placed in the freight.

In an effort to further maximize our recycling initiatives, One Beacon Street uses a “Single Stream Recycling” program. Tenants are no longer responsible for sorting out bottles and cans from paper and cardboard. Every material that is recyclable will now be acceptable in any blue recycling container.

The janitorial staff picks up all recyclable materials daily during the evening cleaning. Recyclable materials must be placed in the blue desk side bins, and blue slim jim bins located near copy machines. There are small buckets from Battery Solutions for electronic devices (cell phones, printer cartridges) and batteries.

Recyclable items are as follows:

  • Mixed office paper
  • Plastics # 107
  • Glass
  • Cardboard
  • Newsprint
  • Magazines
  • New and used envelopes
  • White Paper
  • Electronics
  • Batteries
  • Wood
  • Metal

If an item is not listed, we will arrange to have it recycled.  If additional recycle bins are needed or if immediate service is required, please call the One Beacon Street Management Office at 617-723-8616.
