Paul J. Carney is a private investor and retired financial management executive and consultant for early-stage technology companies. He earned a bachelor's degree in accounting and information systems from the University of Massachusetts at Amherst in 1982 and a M.B.A. from Suffolk University in 1988.
Carney was appointed by three Governors to serve as a member of the University of Massachusetts Building Authority for over ten years until February 2018 and was Vice Chairman, Secretary, Treasurer and Audit Committee Chairman at various times throughout that tenure. He has also served on the University of Massachusetts at Amherst Foundation since 2005. He has been passionately engaged and generously supportive of campus wide initiatives during that time.
