President, UMass Amherst Student Government Association 

Shayan RazaRaza is a senior undergraduate from Needham, MA pursuing a dual major in Legal Studies and Economics. He serves as the President of the UMass Amherst Student Government Association (SGA), representing over 24,000 students, collaborating on policy and management with university administration, and overseeing an $8 million Student Activities Trust Fund. During his campaign, he ran on a platform of transparency, equity, and support for student life at UMass. As a prospective law student, Raza is passionate about achieving justice for those with the least access to legal recourse. In addition to his studies and work for the SGA, he is a former nationally-ranked debater competing for the University of Massachusetts Debate Society and a decorated member of the UMass Powerlifting Team.
