Our procurement system, BuyWays, is experiencing some downtime and other access issues. This has impacted the ability of the UMass system to perform its daily procurement activities effectively. We keep working with Jaggaer to ensure this global system problem is resolved in a timely manner.

Please keep checking back on this page for updates.

Update from the provider (August 6):

After a full week of monitoring, we are pleased to announce that the JAGGAER Indirect US Platform has remained stable and all performance metrics remain healthy.

JAGGAER has completed additional code optimization adjustments to further enhance system performance but we aren't finished yet. JAGGAER continues to analyze key performance indicators and we have identified additional opportunities with more updates planned including an update going in a maintenance release on Monday, 8/9/2021 at 8:00 pm ET. This release is not part of JAGGAER's planned maintenance release schedule and no downtime is anticipated.

At this time we have taken the following measures to bring stability to the environment:

Application Level

  • extensively investigated and verified the performance of database queries and the data/index structure
  • 21.2 code optimization updates deployed to further enhance performance and stability

JAGGAER Indirect Database Cluster

  • substantially increased the size/capacity as well as the associated connection limits
  • modified database connection configuration

Front Facing Nodes

  • moved certain resource intensive functionality over to a dedicated cluster

We are confident that the measures implemented to date will continue to ensure an uninterrupted performance experience for you, your users and your business.

JAGGAER will continue to follow up when new details emerge and we will provide a Root Cause Analysis (RCA) as soon as it's available.
