International Relations

Sunapsis, developed by Indiana University, is the industry leading software for case management and regulatory compliance for International Student, Visitor, and Employee populations.  The UMass system uses the application to maintain records for these individuals with data from PeopleSoft, Governmental, and Outside Counsel databases. In addition, the application allows for the efficient collection of data from internal and external customers through a self-service web portal.  The application ensures the efficient regulatory and case-management needs of the UMass System pertaining to these individuals are met.

Study Abroad (Terra Dotta)

Terra Dotta is one of the leading applications in the management of Study Abroad applications.  Boston, Dartmouth, and Lowell use the application to manage the receipt, processing, and authorization for study abroad applications by students both within and outside of the UMass System.  Use of the software allows the campuses to advertise for their own international educational experiences as well as the opportunities available from leading educational providers across the world and international partnership schools.  The site also functions as a way for the Study Abroad offices to collect and report on data in the event of an emergency that may impact students studying abroad.

Travel Registry (Terra Dotta)

Travel Registry uses the Terra Dotta software for the registration of staff/faculty travel on University-affiliated business.  The software provides for travel approval, form collection/ submission, traveler tracking, and communication.  In the event of an emergency the UMass System should be able to swiftly identify University personnel who may be impacted and reach out to impacted individuals via email and text messaging services.
