COVID-19 Remote Work Update - February 8, 2021

Dear Colleagues,

President’s Office employees who are currently teleworking will continue to do so at least until June unless otherwise directed by their manager. This decision is consistent with the Commonwealth’s direction to Executive Branch employees. During this time period, supervisors and employees should maintain regular email communication to clarify work assignments and address logistics related to remote work.

On-Site Training

Any employee who needs to come on-site must first participate in On-Site Safety training. Any UMPO employee is welcome, and encouraged, to participate in this training even if they do not have any need to come on-site at this time.

This training program is conducted every other Wednesday at 2:00p and the next session will take place on December 2, 2020. Additional sessions will be scheduled if requested. At this point, approximately 60% of UMPO employees have completed this training. Please contact Jacquie Kittler if you would like to register for this training.

Telework Guidelines

The UMPO Telework Guidelines that were scheduled to go into effective on January 2, 2021 will now go into effect on Monday, March 1, 2021. Employees are required to complete the Telework Guidelines training if they want to continue to telework as part of their regular schedule after the COVID-19 remote work restriction has ended.

At this point, approximately 66% of UMPO employee have completed this training. The next Telework Guidelines training session will take place on December 8, 2020. Additional sessions will be offered in January 2021.

Best wishes to all UMPO colleagues for a peaceful and healthy holiday season.
